The last “wisdom” post for 2021 has been posted. But I’m excited to share that most of the team will be returning to share more wisdom in 2022. If you’ve been following us from the beginning, you know that we have already shared a wealth of wisdom and a treasure trove of tips. If you have read (or you do read) all the posts, you will see that combined, they amount to a full course in picture writing, and then some. I want to offer my gratitude to all the generous authors who contributed to this collection of wisdom posts. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! And I want to thank you, our blog readers, for taking time to follow us and sometimes give us lovely comments that let us know our work is all worthwhile. It means a lot.
In return for our wise authors’ generosity, I hope you will consider supporting them and me by spreading the word about our books and services, buying the books (great Christmas gifts), and sharing our posts. And then, the ultimate gift to an author is always reviews. Please, if you’ve read our books, post reviews. Following is a list of our team members linked to our websites so you can learn more about our books and services. Following the list you will find just a sampling of our many books. I believe most of us have many more that aren’t shared in this post.
In the spirit of giving and to honor the message of THE WEED THAT WOKE CHRISTMAS, I’ve decided to offer a holiday gift to one lucky winner of my giveaway drawing. Following our three collages of our books, you will find the information about the giveaway. And then, finally, you will find links to all of our posts at the end of this post.

Thanks, Rose. You name will be added to the drawing.
I’m working through some messy middles right now, so my favorite was Middles Part 1. I hope sharing your wisdom on Twitter helps someone else who is struggling. I’d love to be included in the drawing. Thanks!
Thank you, Lenora. My hope is the same as yours (that sharing will help someone else). I’m glad the posts are helping you. Your name will be in the drawing for sure.
Your blog of collective kidlit wit & wisdom has helped my writing so very much! Thank you to all for your time & sharing souls. Looking forward to 2022’s boon of inspiration!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to know we are helping others with their writing.
Truly, it’s been one of the most helpful & inspirational blogs I’ve read this year!
Thank you for all the fabulous posts and for summarising them here again for us. I shared on Twitter, hoping other aspiring kidlit writers will come across it and find it as helpful as I did. I also shared it with my kidlit illustrator’s critique group over on IG, who all are learning how and wish to write their own stories to illustrate, too. Please include me in the draw.
Thank you for sharing, Monique. Your name will be in the drawing for sure.
Thank you, Alayne, for the inspiration and blogs filled with so much insight into writing for kids. I’m thrilled y’all are coming back in 2022 with more wisdom! I’m headed over to twitter to post the good news!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing our news about returning in 2022.
I’m always interested in wisdom from a group such as this!
Thank you, Joy!
Thank you for following, Joy. And for taking time to comment. Much appreciated.
I am so happy to have found this blog. Where have you been…..no….where have I been? Under a rock working, I guess. I do independently follow several from your group, but the additional resources are exciting and welcome! I signed up for mailing list and will repost a wisdom article. You have an amazing crew. Please enter me for anything and everything, lol, but esp. access to videos I missed. Stay well all!🌻
Thank you, Annie. I’ll definitely get your name in the drawing. I love your enthusiasm about our group. So glad you discovered us and are finding our posts helpful.
